Dear Parents
As always a busy week here in KS. We welcomed Pawin to our class this week. He is joining us here in KS until 19th May.
This week we have been learning about rockets and space. We have been learning about the letter W and counting to 19. Along with making rockets, rocket packs and alien hats. We have had fun playing with our role play space ship and a space walk around some of the school.
Next Week is a busy week with lots happening. I will group messages according to days next week.
Saturday: Ascot Family Fun Day
Saturday 25th March between 9 am and 1 pm will be our first annual Family Fun Day, a half day fair for families with children of all ages! The fair will feature carnival style games and activities as well as lots of food and refreshments.
Monday
We will have our swimming lesson
Tuesday - Emergency Service Visit
As part of our transportation and occupations theme this term, we will have some emergency service vehicles visit us here at school. We ask that the children wear their PE uniform on this day. We will begin with a snack at 9.15 and then take turns to visit the different vehicles.
One parent is welcome to join us on this morning. Please return the slip within the contact book by Monday. If you have any questions please do ask.
Parent Teacher conferences will be held between 3 and 5 pm. If you haven't signed up please do so. Otherwise please speak to me so we can arrange another time.
Wednesday
10.20 am Parent Occupations Day this is a chance for you to talk to the children about different jobs/careers. KG and KS will join together for this lesson. You are welcome to bring props to help with your talk, you can speak in Thai, do a short presentation or just show pictures with a brief explanation. Its entirely up to you. It's an informal and great chance for you to come and help teach the kids and get involved in their learning. If any of you would like to join us please let us know.

Thursday
Songkran Celebrations. The school will come together to celebrate this with an assembly at 8 am. Please could the children be in early this day so that we can get them to the Secondary Gym ready for the start. The children are welcome to wear either a flower shirt or traditional Thai clothes this day.
Swimming kit. Please send in the children's swimming kit today. I would like to try and make some time during our busy day for us to have a small KS splashing of water.
Friday
We will be decorating eggs and later hiding them for an Egg hunt during the afternoon.

We have been looking at the letter Ww and making watermelon and
worm pictures.
We have been practising our writing and getting the sound correct
when we speak.

We have been investigating the number 19 and starting to add two numbers
together using numicon to help us.

We will be investigating the number 20 and practicing our counting
to 20.

We looked at rockets and where they go. They
also enjoyed looking at some other planets.

We have been making rockets, alien headbands
and rocket packs. We had lots of fun playing with them too.
