Friday 10th March 2017
Dear Parents,
We have had such a busy week here in KS. Along
with our school photos we have been learning about the letter S and R. The
number 17 as well as looking at how to add 2 numbers together, we used
dinosaurs to help us. We have also been making things related to cars and
tractors and investigating how to make a toy cable car go faster.
Learning
Journey Conferences
We will be holding the learning journey
conferences again during the week of 20th March. The lesson observation time
will not be happening as we will have Parent Teacher Conferences the following
week. The sign-up sheets will be outside the EY building from Monday 13th March
so please do sign up.
A message from
school
Dear Parents
This is a reminder of our school's policy in
regards to children being picked up by adults other than their parents. Parents
must call and inform the front office in the event that another adult will be
picking up their child. The name of the person must be told to the front office
and then the front office will pass the information on to your child's teacher.
Parents are not allowed to take any child/children other than their own
child/children out of the school unless the process stated above is followed.
Please remember that the school is responsible for your child's safety and well
being from the time they are dropped off in the morning until they are picked
up by their parents (or a designated adult) at the end of the day. Ascot's
teachers and administrators take this responsibility very seriously and as such
ask that you support us by following this policy.
Pictures/Photos
I have a lot of pictures that I have taken
over the last few weeks. I will be uploading them to our class blog. So please
keep an eye out for them.
Reminder:
Occupation Talk Help
During this and particularly the last week of
term we will be looking at different jobs and roles people have. I was
wondering if any of you would like to come in and speak to the class about what
you do?
You are welcome to speak in Thai for those of
you who would prefer not to speak English and keep what you say short and
informal. You are welcome to wear a uniform, bring an item to talk about or I
have a computer so you could show pictures if that would help.
I am aware KG will be holding theirs on Wednesday
29th March between 10.20 and 11. However if there is enough of you that another
time would be better, I am happy to change where possible.
Reminder: Plea
We have a number of art and craft activities
coming up where we need some of your unwanted rubbish. If you have any unwanted
toilet rolls or tubes, small boxes such as biscuits, cereal, tissue, margarine
tubs and bottles please send in. You will be surprised at the quantity we get
through! The more the better in my book as we will always use it.
Have a lovely weekend and see you all next
week
