Weekly Review and Preview Week 6

Dear Parents, 

We have had a lot of fun in KS this week. We have been learning about habitats - homes of different creatures. We have been learning about the letter P and writing words which begin with it. We have also been looking at weight and the words heavy and light to describe items. We have made coral for our class display and desert islands. 

Nest Wednesday 31st May we will our school trip to Farmville. This trip is weather dependent so fingers crossed the rain will be kind to us that day. A decision about the trip will be made early on the morning of the trip if there is inclement weather. Please look in the contact book for the letter and more details.

I sent an email out on Wednesday about our end of term class party. The theme is: Under the sea, pirates or mermaids. We will be holding the party on the last day of term Thursday 22nd June at 2 pm. If you could all please bring a small snack to share with friends we will provide the music. 

Please do dress up. I'm looking forward to seeing many a pirates, mermaids, fish, or under water sea creatures such as fish, octopus.

Over the next few weeks we will be having a theme of mermaids and pirates. This will involve a lot of arts and crafts. Thank you to those that have brought in things so far. If you do have any of the following we would be very grateful: egg trays (preferably paper but please send in what you have) and any plastic bottles.

Ascot Summer - Learning Adventure Camp

Ascot is offering FREE ADMISSION to Summer Learning Adventure Camp for one lucky child between the ages of 3-10 years old!

Parents who pay their child's camp tuition by 31st May will automatically be entered into a random draw which will be held the following day. The lucky winner will be fully reimbursed for their child's camp costs, excluding transportation.

Math	We have been learning about weight, and the describing words heavy and light.	We will be learning about capacity.
Science	We learned about habitats and the homes of different animals.	We will be learning about the ocean and how things can float and sink.
Art	We made coral and palm trees for our role play area.	We will make shark hats and crabs.
Physical	We will be building and developing our tactile experiences.	We will continue to build on our tactile experiences.
PSD	Looking at how we fit into our classroom and school life.	Continued.
