Weekly Review and Preview Week 7

Dear Parents,

This week we have been looking at the letter O and words which begin with this sound. In math we looked at sharing and the word fair. We also looked at the ocean and the animals and plants that live in there. We also made mermaid crowns, mermaid seaweed and made and caught our own jelly fish in a bottle! 

Many thanks to those of you that have replied that you will be attending our Early Years Art Exhibition & Charity Auction on Tuesday 20th June. If you would like to attend please let us know. There is an invitation in the contact book. 

Just a reminder about our end of term class party. The theme is: Under the sea, pirates or mermaids. We will be holding the party on the last day of term Thursday 22nd June at 2 pm. If you could all please bring a small snack to share with friends we will provide the music. 

Please do dress up. I'm looking forward to seeing many a pirates, mermaids, fish, or under water sea creatures such as fish, octopus.

KS Weekly Update: 12th – 16th June 2017

	This Week	Next Week
English	We have been reviewing the letter Oo and looking at words that begin with this letter and learning how to use camera word: she.	We will be reviewing the all the letters and camera words covered so far.
Math	We have been learning about sharing and ensuring that when we share it is fair.	We will be learning about length and the words longer and shorter.
Science	We learned about the animals and plants that can be found in the ocean.	We will be observing how things float on water.
Art	We made mermaid scale pictures and recycled mermaid seaweed.	This week is Art Week. We will be decorating a pebble and making a feather for the school display.
Physical	We will be building and developing our tactile experiences.	We will continue to build on our tactile experiences.
PSD	Looking at how we fit into our classroom and school life.	Continued.
