This week we reviewed all of
the sounds learned so far (s-m-c-t-g-p-a-o).
Blending was also modeled using 3 letters sounds also called CVC words
for example segmenting the word cat :

Next half term we will be revising all of the
sounds learned so far (s-m-c-t-g-p-a-o).

Math
|
This week we reviewed 2D shapes.
|
Next half term, we will be
reviewing 2D shaped learned this week and we will be introducing the concept
of ’flat’ 2D shape and ‘solid’ 3D shape.

PSED
|
This week for our
final week on the 5 senses. We revised all of the senses and evaluated what
we have learned. We looked at the connection we have with our senses: how
they each work. We also talked about their function: How we use our senses.
And finally we looked at their responsibility: Why we care for our senses
(why we need our senses).
|
Next half term we
will begin a new unit focusing on these main concept: ’How we express our feelings, ideas & experiences through Art’.
Each week will be focusing on a specific skill. The first week will be
exploring different ways to tear paper and make various shapes.

Parents: To help
us with our new topic could you ask your child to collect recyclables and
bring them to school throughout the next half term. Thank you.
Recyclables:
toilet paper rolls, boxes, wooden sticks, plastic bottles etc.
Snack: candies, jellies, sweets are only
allowed for birthdays, thank you.
No hat no play policy
Golden time
Please remember to
bring a toy for golden time on Fridays.

Book borrowing: next week your child will begin borrowing a
book from our library. Please remember to return it before the following Thursday.
