WEEKLY UPDATE

RE Weekly Update: March 12th to March 16th, 2018

                                                                    

	This week	Next half term
Phonics/ writing	This week, we reviewed letter sounds and focused on blending 3 letter sound words. We focused on the letter ‘ss’ and practice writing and labeling various objects.	Next week, we will review sounds and camera words and focus on the sound ‘ff’. We will introduce simple words based on the story ‘the Red little riding hood’. ‘And I puff and Huff and I’ll blow your house down.’
Math	This week, we were introduced to the concept of time and learn how to use the term ‘o’clock’.	Next week, we will be working on problem solving through simple hands on activities.
Inquiry	This week, we looked at the life cycle of a frog. We explored the different stages of the life cycle of a frog. A female and male frog meet-the female lay eggs-the eggs grow into tadpole-then grow legs and become froglets –which then grow into adult frogs.	Next week, we will be revising the life cycle of a frog and we will be introducing the life cycle of a chicken.
