Phonics/
writing
|
This week, we revised all sounds and learned 2 new camera words:
where-school. We focused on the sound ‘sh’ and learned the words: shop, ship,
shush, etc.
|
Next week, we
will be revising all sounds and focus on the new sound ‘ch’. We will compare
the sound ‘sh’(long sound) and ‘ch’(short sound) and blend words such as:
chop, chip, chat, chap etc. We will also learned 2 new camera words: one-out.

Math
|
This week, we revised
the concept of 1 more / 1 less and 2 more / 2 less using number lines from 1
to 20.

Next week, we will
learn and review the skills of comparing and measuring.

Inquiry
|
This week, we continued
to explore all the different feelings by reading the story ‘The Color
Monster’. This book is helping us explore all the different emotions. Please
take a look at our class blogs for more information. Thank you.

Next week, we will
look into the emotion of ‘Happiness’ and base our exploration on the book the
Color Monster. We will look into the emotion of joy through 3 key areas; Visual,
Auditory and physical.
What makes us feel
happy? Pictures? People? Color?
Does music or
certain sounds make us feel happy?
What physical
expression or movements do we do when we feel happy? Smile? Laugh? jump?
