This week we learned and reviewed 2D shapes. We made 2D shapes prints, we traced all the different shapes in different sizes, we counted how shapes, we learned how to described them and we even looked for objects that look like them.

What 2D shapes do you know?
How do you know it's a circle? because it is round!
How do you know it is a triangle? because it has 3 sides!
How do you know it is a rectangle? because it has too long sides and 2 short sides!
etc...
What objects can you find that has the shape of circle? a plate? a clock? a bottle cap? etc.
What about a square? a book? a piece of paper? a wooden block? etc...
James, Nine, Isadora and Milan were playing a game we played called 'I spy a shape' They had to find objects in the classroom or on the carpet that reassembles to a 2D shape.
