Phonics/
writing
|
This week we continued to work
on all the letter sounds of unit 2 and blending new CVC words. We focused on
the letter sound‘Ii’ and ‘Uu’.

Next week we will continue working on all sounds
of unit 2 and read some simple words. We will be focusing on the letter sound
‘Ff’ and ‘Hh’.

Math

This week, we focused on the
concept of one more / one less.
|
Next week, we will be having
our last lesson 2D and 3D shapes this term.

PSED
|
This week we experimented
with various technique of painting such as: painting with straw, watercolor,
color mixing, ‘spinner painting’ using a salad spinner, and butterfly
painting by folding a piece of paper with paint and creating a symmetrical
print.
|
Next week, we will
be exploring collage making. We will experimenting with different materials
and objects to create various collages on flat surfaces and on solid (volume)
surfaces. At home you can also
continue on this topic and give recycled materials and ask your child to
built an object of sculpture.
