RE Weekly Update: November 27th to December 1st , 2017

                                                                    

	This Week	Next half term
Phonics/ writing	This week we continued to work on all sounds of unit 2 and read some simple words. We focused on the letter sound ‘Ff’ and ‘Hh’.	Next week we will review the camera words learned last term on unit 1 and introduce the new camera words for unit 2. ‘she, be, we , me, was my’
Math	This week, we focused on 3D shapes.  We learned how to describe them and we discovered that on the sides of 3D shapes we can find 2D shapes.	Next week, we will revisit ‘patterns’. How can we recognize a pattern? How can we follow a pattern? How can we create one? We will also learn that we can make patterns with objects, colors, letters and ultimately numbers.
PSED	This week we experimented exploring collage making. We used different materials and objects to create various collages on flat surfaces and on solid (volume) surfaces.	Next week, we will be learning about sculptures. What is a sculpture? What type of sculpture can we find in the world? What can we use to make a sculpture? We will be making various sculptures with natural materials, salted play dough and a gingerbread house to continue our theme on Christmas.
