RE Weekly Update: March 5th to March 9th, 2018

                                                                    

	This week	Next half term
Phonics/ writing	This week, we reviewed all letter sounds and focused on the new sound ‘ll’.	Next week, we will review letter sounds and focus on blending. We will focus on the letter ‘ss’ and practice writing and labeling objects.
Math	This week, we talked about ‘positional language’, words that describe where things are. For example: under, on top, inside, outside, to the left, to the right etc.	Next week, we will be introduced to the concept of time and use the term ‘o’clock’ to describe time.
Inquiry	This week, we continued learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We deepen our understanding by looking at the symmetry and connection of caterpillars with butterflies and ask ourselves: Why some caterpillars look different? Do butterflies look different from each other?	Next week, we will look at the life cycle of a frog. We will explore the different stages of the life cycle of a frog. A female and male frog meet-the female lay eggs-the eggs grow into tadpole-then grow legs and become little frogs –which then grow into adult frogs.
