RE Weekly Update: March 26th to March 30th, 2018

                                                                    

	This week	Next week
Phonics/ writing	This week, we reviewed sounds and camera words and focused on the sound ‘zz’. We introduced simple words with the sound ‘zz’ such ‘buzz, fizz’ and reviewed 3 letter sound words with the sound ‘z’ such as ‘zap, zip’.	Next week, we will be a review week and teachers will be assessing students.
Math	This week, we learned words to describe the ‘capacity’ in objects such as the words: full, half full, empty. And review heights: tall, short, narrow, wide.	Next week, we will be a review week and teachers will be assessing students.
Inquiry	This week, we revised the life cycle of a chicken and learned about the life cycle of a cat.	Next week, we will be moving to the ‘going further’ stage of the PYP learning cycle by expanding our thinking on patterns and life cycles and see if we can apply what we have learned in different life cycles. Can the life cycle of a cat also be applied on the life cycle of a dog?
